Fall Day-Retreat, Saturday September 10, 2011

On Saturday, September 10, 2011, we will offer a half-day retreat with René Rivera at The San Francisco Buddhist Center, the location of our Sunday gatherings, and also on our usual Zoom link.  There is no charge for the retreat – dana, of course, is always welcome.   Full information is here.

Annual 3-Day Retreat

Each Fall we retreat to Vajrapani Institute, a Tibetan retreat center nestled among the redwoods near Boulder Creek in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. A teacher is invited to lead the event, offering dharma talks and instruction.

We welcome both beginners and long-time practitioners to join in a program that blends elements of a traditional silent retreat – sitting and walking meditation – with talks and exercises led by members of the sangha. Free time is included to walk the forest and socialize with others.

City Day-Retreats

Typically, a day retreat is offered in the Spring at The San Francisco Buddhist Center, the home of our Sunday gatherings. It may be offered both in-person and on Zoom. There is no charge for the retreat – dana, of course, is always welcome.

Registration

Retreat program and registration details will appear on this page when the next event is scheduled.

Registration opens 4-6 weeks prior to the event. Scholarships may be available to those who find the suggested fee unaffordable.

Due to COVID-19, our last event was a day-retreat held November 14, 2021.
