Art, Poetry, and the Imagination

Dhammachari Danadasa has been practicing with the San Francisco Buddhist Center community since 1993 and was ordained in 2011. His current area of exploration is the cultivation of metta (universal loving kindness) as a response to all the hatred, discrimination, and bigotry in the world out there.

John Del Bagno is a poet, spoken word performer, visual artist and gerontologist. After meditating every day for over two decades, he turned to the Pure Land Way which relies on Amitabha Buddha and the recitation of the Buddha-name. His book Hope from the Pure Land Way in Unnerving Times is a collection of essays, poems and prints. Learn more at www.purelandartwork.com

Together they will present Dharmic poetry, artwork, and chanting.
