Group Discussions are a perennial favorite at GBF, allowing us to get to know each other in a way that speaker-led dharma talks do not always allow. We will meditate, followed by discussing a topic suggested by our Facilitator. We break into small groups of 4-6, both in-person at SFBC, and in Zoom ‘breakout rooms’.

We meditate together and then discuss a variety of topics ranging from creative spiritual inspiration to applications of practice in everyday life.

GBF teachers are from all schools of Buddhism and speak on the application of the dharma in modern times. Following our program, those who are interested usually walk somewhere local together to socialize over lunch.


We gather at the San Francisco Buddhist Center at 37 Bartlett Street in San Francisco’s Mission District. 

Bartlett Street is between Mission & Valencia. Look for the red door near 21st Street.
