The Gay Buddhist Fellowship’s 24th Annual Fall Retreat will be held on the third weekend in September of 2015–Friday the 18th through Sunday the 20th. We return to beautiful Vajrapani Institute, nestled among redwoods and streams in the Santa Cruz mountains near Boulder Creek.

The weekend blends elements of a traditional, silent retreat—sitting and walking meditation—with interactive experiences presented by sangha members, and dharma talks given by our beloved friend, teacher and fellow sangha member David Lewis.  It is an opportunity to deepen both our practices and our connections to one another.  Feeling hesitant?  Take a breath and take a risk to explore more connection to yourself and others through the dharma!

This year’s theme is Liberation:  Gay, Buddhist and Beyond.  With David’s guidance, we’ll explore the connections between gay and Buddhist liberation, and examine the benefits and limitations of identity.  For a printable PDF version of the registration form/flyer, click here.  Most questions about cost, accommodations, scholarship opportunities and registration deadlines will be answered in the flyer.  For specific questions about registration and accommodations, you may contact Jerry Jones at jerryinsf1@yahoo.com; for general questions about the Retreat or to volunteer to be part of the program by sharing a talent or skill, you may contact Michael Murphy at gbfretreat@att.net.
